Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any estimate, agreement or work you get from Liberty North Port Concrete. When you browse the site, fill out our form, call us or hire us, you're agreeing to them, so please read them before you do.
If you sign a written estimate or contract with us for a specific job, that document controls the details of that job. Where it says something different from this page, the signed document wins.
Who we are and what we do
Liberty North Port Concrete is a concrete contractor in North Port, FL, and we work in North Port and the cities around it. We're fully licensed and insured.
We build and repair residential and commercial concrete, including driveways, patios, sidewalks, pool decks, steps, garage floors, slabs, footings, retaining walls, stamped and decorative concrete, and concrete cutting. You can see the full list on our home page and read more about our crew on our About page.
What's on this website is general information about the trade and our services. It isn't a quote, a design or a promise about your particular property. Only a written estimate from us for your job tells you what we'll do and what it costs.
Estimates and pricing
Our estimates are free, done in person and obligation-free. We look at the site because the price depends on things we can only see there, like the size and thickness of the slab, how much old concrete has to come out, the condition of the ground the slab will sit on, how water drains, how easy the site is to reach and which finish you choose.
Your written estimate lists the work it includes. Anything not listed there isn't part of the price.
Some conditions only show up once the job is open, such as soft or wet ground, buried debris, roots or an old slab that's thicker than it looked. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you what we found and tell you what it changes in the work and the cost. We won't do the extra work until you agree to it.
If you ask for changes after the job is priced, we'll confirm the new scope and price with you before we do the work.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We schedule the pour on a date we agree on with you. Concrete depends on the weather, so if rain, heavy heat or other conditions would put the quality of the slab at risk, we'll move the pour and let you know as early as we can. A delay for weather or for things outside our control, like material shortages, isn't a breach of our agreement.
New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before it can take weight. We'll tell you when you can walk on it and when you can drive on it. Using it sooner can damage it, and that damage isn't covered by our guarantee.
If you need to cancel or move your date, call us as soon as you can. If we've already ordered materials, booked concrete delivery or started work, you may owe for those costs as your written agreement describes.
Payment terms
Your written estimate or contract sets the amount you owe, any deposit and when each payment is due. Payment is due on those dates unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
If a balance goes unpaid, we may pause work that hasn't been done yet and take the collection steps Florida law allows. If you have a question about a bill, call us before the due date so we can sort it out.
Your part of the job
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us what you know about the property, including where buried lines, sprinkler pipes, septic parts and property lines are. We aren't responsible for damage to buried items you didn't tell us about and that weren't marked.
You're responsible for confirming the work is allowed on your property, including any HOA approval. Whether a job needs a permit is decided by your city or county building office, so check with that office for your address.
Our guarantee and its limits
We stand behind our work, and satisfaction is guaranteed on every job. If something in our workmanship isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right.
Concrete is a natural material, and some things about it aren't defects. Small hairline cracks are common, which is why we cut control joints, the grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack. Slight differences in color, texture or finish from one area to the next are also normal.
Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from using the concrete before it has cured, loads heavier than the slab was built for, ground movement, flooding, tree roots, chemicals like de-icing salt, or repairs and changes made by someone else.
Except for the guarantee on this page and anything written in your contract, we don't make other warranties, express or implied, to the extent the law allows.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to our work is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property or lost income.
Nothing on this page limits any right you have that can't be limited under Florida law.
Settling disagreements
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us first. Most problems get settled faster by talking it through at the job site, and we'll make a good-faith effort to do that.
If we can't resolve it that way, either of us may take the matter to the state courts in the county where the work was done.
Governing law
These terms and any agreement for work with Liberty North Port Concrete are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one in effect. A change doesn't alter a written contract you've already signed with us unless we both agree to it in writing.
